Description

Fluorouracil is used for the treatment of the following malignancies:

• Carcinoma of the colon or rectum (Colorectal carcinoma)
  • Alone or in combination with leucovorin for the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer
• Breast cancer
  • In combination chemotherapy as an adjunct to surgery in women with breast cancer

Fluorouracil has also shown activity in the following malignancies:

• Gastric cancer
• Primary hepatic cancer
• Pancreatic cancer
• Uterine (particularly cervical) cancer
• Ovarian cancer
• Bladder cancer
