Description
Typhoid fever is a bacterial infection that remains common in countries with poor sanitation and hygiene practices. Transmission usually occurs via the faecal-oral route from ingestion of contaminated food or water. Each year, globally, an estimated 11 to 20 million cases of typhoid occur and up to 161,000 deaths.1
TYPHIM Vi provides up to 3 years’ protection against typhoid fever (from day 21 after vaccination). Immunity appears within 1-3 weeks after injection.
